Break the habit of telling others that anything you need them to do will be, or should be, easy. At best you're right and they think you're a jerk for saying it. At worst, you're wrong and look uninformed, and have risked derailing a project due to unrealistic expectations and setting people up to fail.

One of the smarter things an old boss of mine liked to say was, "Simple is a word for other people's jobs." Don't know if he was quoting someone, but it's a good quote, nonetheless.
