No. 47 | Seven genetically modified food ideas

If we’re going to engineer our fruit and vegetable crops let’s have some fun with it, is all I’m saying. Here are seven bits of genetic engineering I’d like to see science get going on:

  1. Peelable avocados.
  2. Avocados the size of watermelons.
  3. Peelable avocados the size of watermelons.
  4. Cherries, but in all the different Starburst flavors.
  5. I feel like there’s more avocado stuff I’m not thinking of…
  6. Self-grinding coffee beans.
  7. Snacking pumpkins.

If you work in a science lab or just own a lot of beakers and microscopes and such, get at me. I’ve got more ideas where those came from.
