I have blogged intermittently since the mid 90s. Thankfully, much of the early teenage angst is lost to time. This collects my writings from this site, an earlier personal website, and some newsletter projects over the years, in mostly chronological order. I also publish new writing here. I publish somewhat more formal writing about content strategy and design careers at Content Career Accelerator.

My PEOPLE list is sort of a grown-up version of covering my bedroom with pictures cut out from magazines. Each list item is simply the name of a person whose life and/or creative output I want to turn my attention to from time to time.
I know that you don’t have to buy that many grapes at once.
Sometimes I do longform writing in Drafts, like if I’m at a show by myself and the second band is taking forever to get going.
See and be seen. Hell, just go on a walk in your neighborhood. Smile and wave. Be part of this world, right now, with the people around you.
The idea of “time management” was effectively meaningless for much of my life. How do you manage a raging bull? A runaway train?
